Mr. and Mrs.
We got married over the weekend! And the weather was perfect and we even had a little drizzle in the morning for good luck (at least that is what everyone was telling me). Here are some of our memories of the day.
First, notice that I have two eyebrows. I had a bit of an overplucking incident and my advice to brides – hide the tweezers! Luckily, the magic of makeup does wonders. Thank you Tiffany!
Our ceremony was at Zilker Botanical Garden and took place just before sunset. Originally, we were going to get married on Mount Bonnell. And then we went to Mount Bonnell and just imagine any scenic overlook on a cross country road trip. Lots of stairs, lots to see, but nothing you really want to look at.
The Botanical Garden was beautiful. In just a matter of minutes, we went from being bachelor (and -ette) to becoming husband and wife. Vegas speed in a well manicured outdoor setting – just what we wanted.
For our dinner, we went to Red’s Porch for good old fashioned southern food. We played a game of washers, drank an Arnold Palmer and a ginger beer then ate Frito pie, cheddar biscuits and chicken fried chix with smashed potatoes and mac n cheese. And for cake, we had a fancy doughnut from an airstream. No smooshing – too delicious to waste.
Here we are the morning after at post-wedding brunch. We wanted to go to the SoCo cafe but when we arrived around 10am, they said they would not be able to seat us until 4pm. Crazy. We said no thank you and headed down to the Magnolia Cafe.

Our wedding photos can be viewed on the Wedding Photographs page of our website.
